On any usual weekend, one wouldn’t be surprised to find these two playing at the Carousel. But in these times of social-distancing, Danger & Diva, two members of the local band, Danger Money, took to the virtual stage last week to play and raised ~$2,000 for the laid-off workers at the Carousel Lounge. And they’re playing again this weekend!
Tune in this coming Friday, April 10th, at 7pm, over on the Danger & Diva Facebook Page! It is bound to be a fun, fan-fueled, good time. If you catch them before they show, I hear they’re taking requests!
Anchorage Museum Presents: Rise Ashen
As a part of their on-going “Listen Up: Northern Soundscapes” art series, this Thursday, The Anchorage Museum is virtually-hosting Ottawa-native DJ, beat-maker and soundscape artist, Rise Ashen, playing a set live from his home. The set starts at 6pm, and can be found on the Anchorage Museum’s Facebook Page.
Surely there is more going on than just one show. You just have to keep your own ear to the ground, and find out for yourself! As always, stay tuned here next week for what I DO find out there. And if your favorite local musician is not playing any online shows right now, you can still support them. Buy merch (did you see Medium Build’s awesome new Medium Feels shirt?), watch their videos (did you see Emily Anderson’s new video for her song ‘Space’?), stream their songs on Spotify.
