The Anchorage International Film Festival (AIFF) continues to grow and solidify as a reputable film festival stop in the circuit of new and emerging films, attracting talent from all over the world and across genres. AIFF is a catalyst for filmmaking in Alaska, providing a platform for filmmakers and upping the ante for quality statewide. The festival’s positive impact is reflected in its strong offering of exceptional Alaskan made films. This year AIFF once again takes place throughout the city, making its programming conveniently accessible to viewers and creating a network of opportunities for local spaces, from theaters to museums and other venues across downtown and midtown.
AIFF runs Friday, Dec. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 10 with a Pre-Festival Screening on Nov. 30. Here are a few of the films that are playing during the first week of the film festival.
