At 8:42 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, APD Dispatch received a call from a local hospital stating a gunshot-wound victim had been dropped off there.

Initial indications are that the adult male victim drove to his home on the 7500-block of Rovenna Street. Upon arrival he saw two adult females parked in a vehicle out front of his home whom he knew. One of them was 32-year-old Sabrina M. Lish. As the victim was attempting to put his vehicle up on ramps so he could change the oil, an argument broke out between him and Lish. At some point Lish retrieved a handgun from her bag, partially stepped out of the vehicle, and shot the victim one time in the upper body. Lish immediately got back in the vehicle and drove away. The victim went inside his home and asked a family member to drive him to the hospital which she did.

Officers drove to a residence on the 2900-block of W 29th Avenue which Lish is known to frequent. Officers made announcements from outside the home; both Lish and her passenger came outside and were taken into custody without incident.

After being transported to the Anchorage Police Department to be questioned by detectives, Sabrina Lish was remanded at the Anchorage Jail on the charges of Assault II, Misconduct Involving a Weapon III – Felon in Possession, Reckless Endangerment, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Lish’s passenger was not charged. The victim’s wound is non-life-threatening.
