An arrest warrant was issued for the driver, Adanna Francis (19-years-old).
Officers with the Traffic Unit located the suspect this morning in the 200 block of Alaska Place. She was taken into custody and transported to jail.
She faces multiple charges including Murder 2 and Failure to Render Aid.

40-year-old Paul Winter was struck and killed while he was rollerblading on the sidewalk. Next of kin have been notified.
The driver, Adanna Francis, was questioned by police. As is normal in vehicle fatality investigations, charges will be determined once the driver's toxicology results come back.
At 11:50 AM officers stopped on a parked and occupied stolen vehicle at E 12th and Cordova; the occupants were taken into custody. As other officers were in route to the area, they saw a black Expedition driving recklessly southbound on Cordova. At 12:07 PM the Expedition struck an adult male pedestrian who was on the sidewalk on Cordova between 9th and 10th. The Expedition continued on and drove past the original group of officers who were at the stolen vehicle scene. One of those officers saw the Expedition and stopped it. The female driver and female passenger were both taken into custody for questioning.
The adult male pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. His identity will not be released until next-of-kin notification has been made.
The investigation is ongoing; no charges have been filed as of this time. Cordova between 9th and 10thAvenues continues to be closed while the area is being processed.
The Expedition is not believed to be connected to the stolen vehicle scene; they are two separate incidents.
