The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) has increased the level of operation of the Emergency Operations Center to Level Two. According to the MOA Emergency Operations Plan, response operations Level 2 is done due to a situation or threat that has developed requiring a partial activation of the EOC, which may extend beyond the regular workday and require round-the-clock monitoring. Staffing of the EOC by OEM staff will likely be supplemented by other agencies.

“We are continuing our coordination efforts in response to COVID-19 and have formulated a unified command with our public safety partners,” said Office of Emergency Management Director Amanda Loach. “We have been here since January supporting one another and our community. We are also coordinating our operations with State of Alaska, nonprofits, the business community, and federal partners. Our goal is to keep the residents of the Municipality healthy, working, playing, and more resilient.”
