Some writers keep journals. Some keep them forever in a trunk or filing cabinet. Some discard them. Some will burn or shred them, maybe to leave old thoughts behind or ensure they remain private. Sandy Gillespie has been cutting hers into strips, sorting them by the color of the ink instead of the content of the words, and building collages the size of your front door with the strips.
